How to choose a pick

There are many types of picks. So many different styles new player You may not be able to choose which pick shape to make what kind of sound. Today the admin will explain each style of pick to you.



Pick material

Picks are made from a variety of materials. Each one is different. But the most common materials are 3 types:

1. Celluloid (Celluloid) is the plastic that is most likely used to produce guitar picks.

2.Delrin plastic with a slightly matte finish. To help make it easier to hold onto your fingers.

3. Nylon: This type of material can have raised letters to help the pick stick to the finger more.





Pick thickness
Guitar picks normally come in three thicknesses, which will tell you the size of the pick:

Thin (0.45–0.69 mm) This type is often used by guitarists in acoustic guitar bodies. Because when the pick is played, it blends with the guitar strings, making the chord sound quite harmonious. The sound will come out more smooth. Or it can be used on electric guitar if it is playing chords.
Medium (0.70–0.84 mm) Each note sounds clear, clear and strong, suitable for both soloing and chord progressions.
The  Heavy (0.85–1.20 mm) is a pick suitable for solo guitar playing that requires speed. The resulting sound will be thick.

Guitar picks come in many different shapes. But divided into 3 types:

Small: Jazz Pick is still in this category. Players use this type of pick for fast play.
Large: This is a guitar pick that is easy to hold. Most have 3 equal triangular corners.
