Custom 450 is one of the finest metal axes in it`s price range and is one of numerous electric guitars Dean introduced this January at NAMM show. As all Custom series models, 450 comes with a solid, double-cut body with carved top. It is made completely of mahogany, including the carved top. Some special features include contoured back and deep cutaway. Both features are there to improve comfort and playability of this model. Body is bound in several layers of binding and it comes in two color schemes: White and Black. Both are finished in high gloss. Also, both of them feature black hardware. Neck on this model is made of maple. It is set in and equipped with a modern C contour. C necks are among the most comfortable Dean necks in current production. On top of Custom 450`s neck Dean installs an ebony fingerboard with 24 frets. Dot inlays, custom 12th fret and 1-11/16" wide string nut complete the fingerboard specs. Pickups for Custom 450 come from EMG. Their most famous pair, the 81 bridge pickup and 85 neck pickup are found on this model. Bridge section is a simple one, as it features tune-o-matic bridge with string-through construction.
